CA-12/CA-13 Boomerang

Strictly work-in-progress screenshots, aircraft are incomplete. Textures themselves are not fully finished.

To see the real Boomerangs in action, have a look at some of the later photos in the following link. The pictures aren't that large, unfortunately, but do give a good overview of Boomerangs on operations and illustrate well the important role they played in ground support through such activities as target acquisition and marking, strafing, etc. in some of the fiercest Pacific combat arenas of WWII:

VC

Aside from a few wires and some animations, the VC is fundamentally complete. Things will still be tweaked up until release time.

The VC comes in two modes, selectable at any time (see screenshots): strictly World War II, and modern restored Warbird. The differenece with the Warbird model is a GPS plus a new lower panel, which features radio and transponder. There may also be a gauge poly for those who wish to install their own third-party avionics.

The aiming reticule is painted on the forward armoured glass, as was done in the real Boomerangs since it permitted removal of the heavy gunsight as this was not needed for strafing and other ground support work.

Cooling gills and other external details will become more detailed as work now moves over to completing the external model.

(The following VC in-game screenshots will still be updated as any changes are made)

GPS and radios can be selected for display independantly.
