PIPER / MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR
L-4
Grasshopper
For Microsoft Flight Simulator.

THE AIRCRAFT
A small aircraft with a wartime role.
The L-4 Grasshopper was the military development of the Piper J-3 Cub. It served in observation, liaison and transport duties during the Second World War.
The Flight Replicas MSFS catalogue lists three variants. The operating manual covers the cockpit controls and includes floatplane-specific guidance.
IN THE SIMULATOR
Aircraft features.
Aircraft information and controls are described in the Flight Replicas operating manual.
Military-style instruments
The cockpit includes airspeed, RPM, compass, altitude, oil temperature and oil-pressure instruments.
Opening doors and window
Separate click spots operate the upper door and window, and the lower door.
Pilot visibility and tie-downs
Cockpit click spots remove the pilots and add tie-down ropes. The manual notes that the ropes do not operate on float versions.
Floatplane controls
The floatplane configuration has a water-rudder retract handle, described in the manual.
Before you fly.
Read the aircraft manual for controls and operating procedures. This model and its manual are for flight simulation, not real-world flight training.
